They had to keep calling him Smith everytime he appeared to remind us he was Smith. That was bad. He didn't even talk like the old Smith 2)morpheus. I'm still not entirely sure what purpose he served to the plot. I liked the central plot with trinity and didn't think that was bad. I even liked the weird meta stuff. Everything is a remake, or a sequel to some damn thing that expired long ago and legitimate works of story telling are swept under the rug because how can the hype compare to the second coming of FFVII? Then the internet has the gall to complain about quality works that they still tune in for and have captured their attention, because everyone on the internet is too cool to appreciate things as they come out. IE this board regularly whines about Better Call Saul and Attack on Titan. Yet the theaters blow up for super hero tripe and unwelcome sequels.
