Damn. I had a feeling this would happen since last season's finale, but it's still a bit of a shock

I guess the main question now is does Kim make it?

My vote is yes, she will, but I could be completely wrong.

My thought is she's not. In Breaking Bad, Saul repeatedly emphasizes that if you miss your chance for a pickup, you've given it up forever. I think that's coming from experience. They looked at his card this season, there's a good chance Kim will try to use it. Kim has a habit of reflecting, getting a better idea, and going a completely different direction. Recently she turned around and drove home on her way to Santa Fe. She dropped her duties and went back to Everette to offer to help him find a new home. She had a thought on how to save Huell and caught Jimmy while he was starting his own methods. I think she's going to set up a pickup, but then hatch a new plan and miss it. Then she won't be able to try again when she's really in trouble, and she'll be killed.

It would also parallel to Gene's last scene, where he changed his mind about a pickup and wanted to handle it himself.

Kim is never mentioned in bb so i think she gets whacked

I had a bad feeling early on in the episode that this was the end of the road for Howard. Something about that meeting inside HHM just gave me end of an era vibes.

I thought for sure that Howard would blow his own brains out, but I knew what was coming when the candle flickered.

I also liked the callback. When Kim went to see Lalo, he said "Your husband is like la cucaracha, he survives." When he's in the sewer, he sees a cockroach and gets the idea to go to see them

Whatd you think about Jimmy and Kims reactions? They came off very stilted to me but maybe thats the point, never know what reactions people might have to something traumatic like that.

The whole scene in the firm Howards outburst had me dying of laughter, very well done.

I thought he was going to commit suicide. Then the Candle shot(which they did twice for some reason) told us what was going to happen

Which I guess is why they didn't drag it out.

Howard in the board room reminded me of Chuck's outburst at the hearing. Both men got their reputations ruined. I also thought Howard would kill himself. Now there's No Hs nor the M at HHM. Of course Howard deserved none of it especially at the end. I couldn't help but laugh at Lalo's casual "Lets talk".

I have a feeling if she makes it out alive, Kim will leave ABQ in disgust and fear. Perhaps she's the one who Jimmy talks about to Francesca in the BB flash forward "Tell 'em Jimmy sent ya".

Yeah the callbacks to what Saul did to Chuck with Cliff acting like Howard acted to Chuck were well done.

I saw this somewhere else and thought it was funny. Howard says he learned the soda trick from Chuck, who did it every time no matter what. Wonder if that's because of Jimmy shaking Chuck's sodas as a youngster.

And now we know why Jimmy/Saul is so scared to death about Lalo in BB.

If either Nacho or Howard had lived up to this point, TC, I'd agree with you on Kim. But after taking both of them out, I think there's no way they take out Kim as well. I feel like she will go into exile by the time we hit the BB timeline, and then somehow we'll see her again in the finale in the Gene timeline.

Like you guys I enjoyed Howard's downfall being the same as Chuck's getting too caught up fighting Jimmy. I appreciate that unlike Chuck, he knew when to accept the loss. Cliff was able to convince him to let Jimmy win and think of the clients first, which is the opposite of how Chuck reacted to Howard

I think Kim is gonna make a phone call to a vacuum repair man during the last few episodes

I was more expecting this, Howard being a higher end lawyer, he gets told he's in now, a "friend of the cartel" and his new future unfolds. I wasn't expecting that at all. His name got dragged through the mud so hard, imagine if his final legacy was him getting killed by "his" drug dealer.

Hell, take it a step further, with Jimmy lying about who Lalo was, and them finding out he's a cartel boss, and Howard dies by his hand? Would make you think that people would wonder how deep Howard was in with all of this just by association.

It leaves a lot of pretty miserable questions. Didn't like Howard, didn't want him to go out like that though.

I legitimately hate Kim now, she's am absolute piece of shit, as evil as Saul or worse. The whole season I was excited and rooting for Howard to get back at them and land them in legal trouble, with Kim taking the fall, which lands her in prison for the duration of BB. Instead she fetishizes ruining a man's career, and ends up getting him killed. At this point I feel like she's gonna end up going to the vacuum guy and run off Scott-free.

We all knew this was gonna be the story of seeing Jimmy turn into a villain, but Kim too? Dammit Vince is savage lol.

^Shes always gotten off to taking advantage of marks, ever since Jimmy introduced it to her.

I wonder if having Omaha Beach from the Howard scam fresh in her mind, as well as being close to her hometown made her possibly choose Omaha as where she ran off to, which would tell us theres a connection to why Saul chooses that location to start his new life as Gene.

The second to last season aired three years ago, but this season started last month. Covid and heart attacks delayed filming, plus they just take fucking forever.

I think I'm actually gonna rewatch the first season of Breaking Bad in the weeks until the last wave of Saul eps. Works out pretty handy, almost an episode a week, while Saul is on break. I wonder if it's intentional? They did say Walter White and Jesse would make cameos this final season. Maybe we've officially caught up to BB's timeline

No he's not. Jesse was born in 83 and season six of Saul is somewhere from 04 to 06.

I think theres still a few things that need to happen before everythings caught up to BB timeline. For example we still havent seen Tuco get out of jail and take Hector out of the nursing home; first time we see Hector in BB hes hiding out in Tucos safehouse. Unless were just supposed to assumed that happened without actually seeing it, which isnt really this shows style.

That was like a random safehouse they went too when they were waiting for the cousins to turn up.

Either way we can put that together in our minds. The show doesn't need to show us Kim going to the toilet and Mike making breaskfast. We kinda assume they do that.

one thing that kinda bothers me tho: didnt Mike mention to Kim that he had dudes watching her and Jimmy 24/7 in case Lalo Salamanca showed up? like where the fuck were they when he showed up in their apartment?
