These are definitely some of the first PS5 games to make me really want to get one besides Returnal. And RE 4 hype is real. Real curious where they go with it. But agreed we need campy Leon even if the rest of the game is gonna be much more serious.

One thing to note is that most of these games were current gen exclusive (Eternights and Stray as the exceptions?). Looks like PS4's finally being left behind.

This is a cool point and actually really exciting! It's understandable because of how much COVID messed things up but it's a pretty blargh feeling being 1.5 years into the generation and it still not feeling like it's even really begun.

Goodbye Volcano High is still in some sort of development, I think. They fired the head writer and have started development over, so who knows when it's coming.

Street Fighter 6 is on PS4 tho.

Also on Xbox which they cheekily left out.

Oh, huh, well I wasn't specifically excited for it other than it being an upcoming VN that I'm hoping gives me Night in the Woods vibes, so I'm still interested regardless of the writer.

Yeah doesn't appear to be on Xbone, that's actually fairly common for a lot of cross Gen + cross platform games nowadays to have a PS4 version and not an Xbone version. Just wasn't a successful enough platform, already outsold by the Series X/S if I recall correctly.

In Japan, but not anywhere else.

Could be the XB1 just isn't powerful enough to run SF6. Although i think PS5 will be the tournament standard and when they release the inevitable Super SF6 it'll be next gen only and PS4 will be left behind.

This is how I feel.

Complete graphic overhaul but otherwise it's identical is best.

Still, I'm not saying I'm not interested in an overhaul, I'll take something new, RE4 is still right there. I just still want it to be camp. I don't find any of the RE content that isn't cheese to be interesting at all, and RE4 was pure cheese.

Even the REs that try to be serious or have darker overtones are still pretty campy. I really don't think it will be a problem.

With the remakes I'm just tired of them cutting out huge sections of the originals for no real good reason.

This is the real issue.

REMake is the goat because it cuts nothing and adds the fantastic Trevor subplot.

The game still naturally builds it up too so you don't even need to play the old one to be hyped for this potential location. It's just bad game/narrative design.

The remake of RE1 is the only one that's better than the original for me. Yeah RE2 remake is a fantastic game but i still prefer the original. If they did a better job of the second scenario instead of just quickly throwing it in it might've been a harder choice.

Are games that are being released on PSVR2 likely to get released on PSVR1, in a similar fashion to games getting both a PS5 and PS4 release?

PSVR2 is going to be using a completely different control method so I doubt that the two are going to be compatible with each other
