Yeah, I never upgraded from the base PS4, so the PS5 was a big jump. Playing Persona 5 Royal now, runs great.

I've had one since Nov 2020.

I haven't tried. I just checked availability at a few stores here and it seems, the only consoles available are the Xbox Series S and the Switch, and refurbished PS4s (and a refurb PS4 Pro costs only $50 less than I paid for a brand new one about 5 years ago). The Series X was in stock a while back but seems to not be anymore.

But yeah, neither is really a high priority for me anyway. I've got my eyes more on the Aya Neo 2 than anything else.

Wal-Mart + doesn't do bundles(or, this one didn't), so it was about 540 with taxes.

I keep feeling tempted to try, but I'm waiting to see if there's either a PS5 Pro or PS5 Slim version that will come out.

since there aren't too many exclusives out right now, I don't mind waiting.

Personally, I got a PS4 Pro and the only feature of it that I really give much of a crap about compared to the normal PS4 is the larger hard drive. Which I could always have just upgraded on my own anyway. So if I were to get a PS5, I almost certianly wouldn't wait for the Pro. (For that matter, I'd also get the discless version, because in my entire time owning a PS4 I have used the optical drive exactly once, to play a DVD.)

Mind you, I don't have a 4K TV that it can actually output a 4K signal to...

That's dope.

I think I might wait on a slim version. It's so gd big.

People told me the same thing April 2020 about not buying a 200 series RTX card even though the pandemic already started and it would obviously cause supply shortages, because Nvidia was about to release the 300 series cards later on that year. So I went ahead and got a 2070 Super anyway as soon as my local Microcenter restocked with a grand total of 5 of them. And now people have just now been able to buy non scalped graphics cards of any kind two full years later, so that definitely would have been worth the wait.

PS5 has been available for a year and a half now and it's still hard for people to grab one. So what person living under a rock since March 2020 would wait another year for a non-guaranteed announcement of a PS5 pro and then wait a year+ after that to be able to grab one

Funny you said that, I was waiting and at 3pm on the dot I clicked the console by itself and it was already sold out, so I went to the HFW bundle and I had to wait in line but I was able to get it.

Yup. This Gen actually played exactly into what I was vocally saying I wish a generation would do. Just focus on better loading and fps. It's way more detriment to my enjoyment of games than graphics or exclusives. Exclusives really have no direct control over my enjoyment. Cause once it's not on PlayStation, I just stop considering it as something Ill eventually play.
