One example, Google has many failed products that cost literal billions and ruined lives, but still has the capital to do so and face no repercussions

google glass, google plus, google video, google answers the list goes on.

I personally had a google plus account because google notified me it was merging with youtube and google plus would be integrated. That was before they knew how horribly encrypted their ip was and literally everyone with a google plus account was hacked and had their personal information exposed. I was one of them, not only was my google hacked, but every account i had associated with that email were frequently attempted to be hacked due to their negligence.

i did get noticed of a class action lawsuit that took place in favor of us vs google, however i was only able to draw 12 measly dollars from the settlement.

this topic also pertains to NFTs, because theyre an example of bad products they need to be held accountable for.

Well the hacking for one, it also ruined credibility for those who supported it

it also shows theres people in executive positions that.. arent very good at their job. These positions are probably unobtainable to a normal person

when i was young i always thought being the best would get you places, but you could be the best and get shit on by higher ups who will never lose

I'm not a gun nut or anything, but it wouldn't be their fault either. I mean how is it the manufacturer's fault that some guy got a gun from somewhere that wasn't them and shot a bunch of people? It's not like we blame car manufacturers if someone drives their car into a crowd and kills a bunch of people.

Of all the shit you can list you choose product flops as opposed to all the companies that willfully enable police to violate our rights? Companies that pollute our air and water? Companies that literally kill people?

There are actually laws in place to shield gun manufacturers from this argument because otherwise they would be on the hook much more often then they are. A law firm recently won a case in Connecticut on behalf of some of the parents after Sandy Hook on these grounds (ultimately settled but survived a motion to dismiss based on one of these laws).

The argument is essentially a products liability argument based on the unnecessary risk of danger or death that was purposely or negligently used as a feature of the product. If, in your example, Ford made a car that had a human ramming feature or spikes or something crazy so that it could run through crowds of protestors without being stopped they would be held liable if that car was used to kill people during a parade. For the ARs the argument is there is no legit (or reasonable) purpose for some of the design elements other than to cause mass casualties highly efficiently.

Flops are punished by no return on investment. They essentially lost their investment. Like if you throw a grand into crypto and it drops to zero, you lost the money you put into it.

Also, that's why as a consumer, it usually doesn't pay to be an early adopter.

sure she has more than one good take, but the point is that corporations have successfully and completely bought out the dems and repubs and you'll never see a pres from one of those parties go against them... ever

I'm aware of those laws, but blaming them doesn't really work because at the end of the day guns are legal. Everyone knows they were invented to kill people easier then a bow and arrow, that is their sole purpose for existing. But the fact is they are allowed in this country so you can't really hold the company responsible for making a legal product. If anyone can be blamed it would be the government for allowing a deadly product to be sold/owned/used, but not those following the law and making it.

AoC also said we should pay her more so she doesn't take bribes. So if you think she will hold anyone responsible for anything outside of clickbait Twitter takes, well then, I have a lovely bridge you might be interested in purchasing at a great price.
