What i'm guessing is gonna happen, in a few weeks blizzard will come out with an "apology" saying "gamers, we hear you" and they'll cut down on the microtransactions. Conveniently after the timeframe their analysts say the big time whales have already spent the big bucks on the game to get endgame characters.

The 100k figure is excessive and misleading. At that level of money you are paying thousands of dollars for a 1% increase. Almost nobody is going to pay for that and even if you do pay for it, it won't actually guarantee you a spot on the leaderboards because the bonus you're getting is insignificant.

The game is inconsequential. It literally harasses you to spend money at every turn. Every single system in the game is monetized and they remind you of that fact whenever you interact with them.

you'll get far. most i would spend is maybe the highest battle pass and that's about it.
if i decided to play it.

I started it yesterday. The gameplay is actually pretty fun tbh. I'm like 15 hours in and at midgame/level 43. No reason at all to pay for anything so far. I'd definitely recommend running through the campaign and not giving a shit about maxing out a character. So far it's easy enough solo and braindead easy in a group.

Gems seem like they'll be an issue later. Gear to make cool builds actually comes easily enough, but to effectively grind gems you need crests that are either on a timegate that is awful in comparison to everything else or buy them. Most of the other micro transactions make it so you really don't need to play the game much though, which defeats the purpose of a loot game imo.

Game is fun. I dont pay anything for mobile games and if I can play the game and have fun without a time limit, thats all I care about.

Plenty of free to play games don't harass you with scummy monetization models. Warframe and Path of Exile comes to mind first.

I'm ok with cosmetics, but when the game allows you to spend money for power in game it's fucked up. Doubly so where you can use that bought power in PVP.

EDIT: And from what I understand the game doesn't have daily limits to you spending money unlike something such as Lost Ark which has a cap on spending, so theoretically, if you have a debit card attached to your phone, you could literally drain the entire thing in a matter of hours unless some sort of fraud alert puts a hold on your card, and there would be zero recourse because blizzard won't refund you, and you couldn't chargeback like you would with a credit card.

Just get a refund. Your Blizzard account will be banned and you'll be banned from all NetEase games but that's actually a win win
