Even scarier when the most common drug they partake of is nearly impossible to discover as it look like simple paper. And this drug can make them become violent

So I just do my best to find everyone I can so they don't have them to use on me or another inmate. I've actually had inmates thank me for finding them cause it made them feel safer.

Yeah that's the big one I got thanked for. High ranking blood gangbanger thanked me. Said for all he knew it was made for him. Alot of shanks are just for self defense. That thing is made for killing

Whoa that's pretty crazy collection especially with the sword but the one on the far right next to the lighter seems a bit weak as it would bend if someone tried to shank with it.

It ain't gonna bend trust me. Would take more force to fully stick into someone though.

How do you have this collection? Wouldn't those need to be filed as evidence with the prison records?

If they would use these on the walls and not each other they could have stabbed their way out into freedom by this point.

Found in "common areas" aka I couldn't pin it on anyone.

Still normally we should report it but you get no recognition unless you are able to pin it on someone. So I don't care. If I ain't gonna get recognition I'd rather add to my collection. It gets removed from the facility all the same.

You are lucky to even get told "good job" for finding one. And most are in common areas. Inmates would rather risk it being more easily found than being nailed to the wall for having it.

Full disclosure. They aren't in cells where ibwork. It's a big room full of bunk beds. Think full metal jacket movie for a idea of how the sleeping areas look

I try. In part by hunting these things down. Most officers here are too lazy. And I'll admit I get lazy on it on my own shift. I find more when I work a overtime day. We sweat the pettiest of rules on my rotation. So you are left wanting to just relax once they go to bed.

Some inmates do have guns. My brother intercepted a firing pin thrown over the fence. Said later the grip for a gun was found on the unit.

Us officers however don't have guns. Not inside the facility anyways

I've found shanks made of toothbrushes as well
