pjbasis 06/06/22 1:30:55 PM #5:	The only thing that bothers me is they're trying to go pretty far for just 12 episodes. And the clincher is just what the effects and fight choreography are going to be like. Lightning Strikes 06/06/22 5:45:46 PM #14:	Its a manga not an anime but Edge of Tomorrow was great. Live action anime can be and has been done well. Not just in terms of direct interpretations but also things that are clearly inspired by anime like your Pacific Rims or even something like Cobra Kai. That should not be a mental block to this. All indications are this will be at least pretty good and pretty popular. Its got a good cast, a good creative team, a good script (at least for the pilot), and unlike Cowboy Bebop or Avatar it actually has a reason to exist as a condensed version of a prohibitively long story. Unfortunately I think it will get killed by its budget as filming on water is infamously expensive and those sets look enormous. A shame as this looks like a televised version of One Piece Id actually have time to watch let alone enjoy. --- I just decided to change this sig.
