Board 8 > FF1 beated again! (miracle battle)

I take on the game with four Fighters. Wow, what a challenge! They are named... MILS, FENX, APLO, and RYUN. (Who needs swords when you just point the finger and destroy everything in front of you?!)

I mostly breeze through the game, and now I'm at the Chaos Temple, *spoiler* 2000 years in the past....

I perish a couple of times because I keep running into those dang Gas Dragons that can do up to 300, nay, more than 300 damage with their Gas attacks (pi-EW, you need to take some Gas-X!). But okay, I make another attempt, this time knowing where to go without running around accidentally finding useless treasure chests. No Gas Dragon encounters!

LICH beated. (NUKE totally sucks)

KARY beated. (easy-peasy)

KRAKEN beated. (thank you, RUSE)

Everything is still going as planned, and then I run into three SORCERORS. Trance is cast... ineffective, ineffective, ineffective, and ineffectie! Attack! Sorceror Down! Attack again! Sorceror down! Sorceror attacks my top Fighter, MILS... INSTANT DEATH. CRAP. Attack again! Sorceror down! (sucks having no Mage to cast LIFE)

Unsure of where to go on this floor, I head down and to the left... lo and behold, I find the MASMUNE! YES. I immediately equip it, and I know I have both an Xcaliber user and a Masmune user. The only route left takes me to....

TIAMAT. I seem to be a bit overconfident here. I'm not sure whether the dragon will use regular attacks, so I just go and melee attack with everybody. Tiamat responds with an attack.... 250ish damage to APLO. Ouch. "Eh, he'll probably use a spell next turn"... Tiamat attacks. 250ish damage. TO APLO AGAIN. My second fighter is down. (oops, I should have used INVIS on everyone in the first place) A couple more turns of gradually whittling him down with attacks (while the boss does petty stuff like SLOW), TIAMAT falls.

Just great. I have to take on CHAOS with just two fighters. But with the two ultimate swords, I keep going in desperation. I run from every battle. At this point my two characters are level 25. Will this be enough....?

Finally, *SPOILER* Garland stands before me. I use potions until my characters HP's are maxed (only ~5 potions remain...phew). Meh, might as well make the attempt....

Round 1. I use RUSE for both FENX and RYUN because I forget whether CHAOS has a powerful physical attack. (this is my first attempt at the final boss) CHAOS leads with CRACK. Please miss, please miss.... it misses FENX. It misses RYUN. Phew. From here on out, I whack the giant with the Masmune and Xcaliber. 100 damage, 250 damage, 150 damage, 300 damage, 400 damage etc, etc.... CHAOS uses INFERNO... ~ 200 damage to both characters. SWIRL gets used... ~ 200 damage to both characters again. He uses another mult-target attack.... FENX is KO'd!!! RYUN is alive with ~78 HP. At this point I know I've done quite a bit damage... how close we are to 2000 I have no idea. RYUN GOES FIRST!!! ATTACK! ~200 damage. CHAOS DISINTEGRATES!!!

RYUN has proven to be the best of the four Ace Attorneys!

Yay, I did it. My FF1 cravings have been satisfied for perhaps another year.
