If you are likely to be a target for fascist violence (which at this point is anyone who isn't them or willing to assist them) buy a weapon, learn to use it, organize with your community and others how you are going to defend yourselves when the time comes. The police nor any other government entity are going to protect you from these people.

If gun control legislation ever ends up getting passed, this is probably how it will happen. If minorities and leftists start arming themselves, Republicans will ban guns in a flash.

Legitimately can't wrap my head around having so much hate for people whose lives will literally never affect yours. "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all." What the fuck happened to that, man? Most of us were taught this as children, and yet Republicans, grown-ass adults, are going out of their way to be hateful. I just don't get it man, I don't fucking get it at all.

Some people literally are just terrible, and also straight. This idea that everybody who hates LGBT is just in the closet feels pretty offensive to gay people and basically says only a gay person could be so vile.

While there may be a correlation, I'd say it's still important not to attribute secret homosexuality to EVERY instance as it dims the light on cases of pure hatred and gives more ammunition for the "homosexuals are dangerous" crowd
