Yeah. They have actually made an impact too. A few years ago about 100 horses died during a meet at Santa Anita and PETA got very involved to the point the racing commission made drastic changes to the track rules. A year or two later and a 60 page federal bill made it into one of the Covid response bills that was 5000 pages and no one read. The act created a federal horse racing regulatory body that is in the process of taking over regulation. Everything goes into effect July 1. (Since its passage I have oddly become a national expert/resource about this issue). This federal regulators main purpose is to try to improve animal safety. Horses are still going to die and the racing will continue but PETA and other animal rights groups have successfully changed the sport. --- ************************************************ http://i.imgur.com/iZdWIKJ.jpg ...
