I've only got two tattoos. But I think I'm ready to get a few more today.

The two I have are on my left inside forearm. I want the other tattoos on the right arm now.

Do you have any tattoos? If so, how many? And if you don't, any particular reason you don't? Gross? Not your thing. Frowned upon by family? Taboo?

I'll never get one.

Like, I respect the craft, the amount of training it takes to become a true tattoo artist, and the skill one must have....BUT, when I want to see a drawing then I'll just grab a piece of paper and doodle away.

Anyway, what are you thinking of getting, tc?

Right on. I understand that too.

I already have a definite idea of what I want. Tree of life with a huge flock of birds flying off the tree and a half of the tree having dead branches where the birds flew off from. Representing death and life and the transition. The other part of the tattoo would be a little more complex. It would have to have two silhouettes of people and a clock in the background. The time you have with loved ones.

So this is my idea. I don't want anything huge. But not terribly small either. The two I have are decent size. Maybe about 6-7 inches of my left forearm.

That's... actually really neat. Just monotone ink, or are you planning on adding color to it? Or are you only going to color the part that represents life as it tapers away from bleak black?

Good question. I think all black. I'm not sure I'll ever do color.

I don't have any tattoos.

I have zero issue with tattoos, it's just not something I care enough about to spend my money on. I'd rather buy records.

I'm too vain and arrogant to get a Tattoo.

Nothing wrong with that either. Sometimes for a complex message to get across must be delivered through simple means.

Of course! I will be back with some pics.

I have 8 so far, getting my other thigh done soon.

I have 3. One covering the inner part of my forearm, one on my chest, and one on my right calf.

Planning on more, but with the recession looming, I should probably save a little cash.

I don't have any. I've thought about getting some, but I've also got rules about getting them. See when I get a thought for one I write it down on a sheet of paper with a badly drawn sketch (I'm no artist). Then I take the paper, fold it up, write the date on it and put it in a folder. One year later I check the paper and if I still like the idea I'll get a tat, but so far I haven't liked anything enough.

I've thought about getting the orange leukemia ribbon and my diagnosis date as a tattoo at some point. Something meaningful to me.
