Oh I guess I am too old, for a few years before the jays brought Jr up he was destroying it in the minors but they didnt want to pay him so left him there to make peanuts as long as they could

They brought him up at the age of 20 and he had an above-average rookie year, a solid sophmore year in the covid year, an MVP 3rd year, and is having an above-average 4th year. His salary in the first year was $468,488. The bulk of his contract was already paid via a Signing bonus when he was 16; 4 years prior.

Nothing about that take is rooted in fact. I do remember the twitter morons and sportscentre goofs talking about it a bit to fill broadcast time.

Oh thats right I remember now they kept him in minors for a month so they could own him for longer, my bad. Its still pure bullshit but not as bad as I originally stated sorry!
