Ask anyone working in an abortion clinic and they'll tell you that they get a lot of pro-life clients who will tell them at length that what they're doing is heinous - before, during, and after their procedure. None of that stuff matters once it affects them personally.

I dislike this idea that only firsthand experience is valid on subjects of discussion. Like, you wouldn't think that the opinions of, say, a male OB/GYN doctor who has been involved in hundreds, if not thousands of pregnancies/abortions, would be afforded more weight than a woman who had one abortion?

One need not develop cancer to understand it is a terrible illness.

I wouldn't say zero chance, but it is indeed extremely common for pro-lifers to be blatant hypocrites who will happily get an abortion for themselves or their daughters while actively calling every other abortion in history evil. Their case is special, after all, and their daughter was just a victim of bad luck, unlike every other unwanted pregnancy that was the result of irresponsible hedonism.

Like the TERF's that surprisepikachu'd when the politicians they'd aligned themselves with to push transphobic agendas started also pushing misogynist agendas, I fully expect that these people would throw some truly spectacular tantrums if the anti-abortion laws for which they're campaigning actually came into effect and those laws meant they also couldn't get abortions. The concept of cause and effect tends to elude these people.

You're asking the wrong person. I refuse to have male service providers for my reproductive health. I don't believe I can receive the same level of care, comfort and concern in that area that a woman would give to me. That's how a lot of women feel. And a lot don't feel that way.

Because it's a risk for everyone. People born male at birth have zero risk of becoming pregnant and having that risk or have that affect their bodies. Why do you get a say in something you'll literally never experience? Lmao it's a joke.

Sure, let's go with this logic.
In that case, we should give the most deference to abortion providers. They've had experience with dozens or even hundreds of abortions. Clearly they have the most expertise on this matter, so we should set abortion policy based upon their recommendations.
