How do you react?

You wake up in the morning and your girlfriend tells you that she's written a song for you and wants you to hear it. However when she starts playing it her guitar is out of tune, she keeps making mistakes, she can't hit the notes she's going for, the flow is completely off and the lyrics are utterly terrible, half of them don't even rhyme. It sounds worse than Puddle of Mudds cover of About A Girl. You're pretty sure Meowth could have done better. It takes all your effort to not cringe or laugh in her face as she plays. When she finishes she has a huge "nailed it" grin and asks you what you thought. I'm not going to lie and say it's great. But I would be so flattered and overjoyed that her heart is so full of love for me that she would not only write it, but also perform it for me. I would express that and ignore the subject of the song just being bad. ... Copied to Clipboard!
