Had some time off of work and starting working through a backlog of recent movie releases, figured Id see if anyone wants to discuss or has any other suggestions.

The most recent, for me, was the Northman. I just finished it yesterday, and I enjoyed it for the Hamlet-inspired tale of vengeance that it was. I think all of the performances were good, the combat was visceral, and the cinematography was great.

Also watched the Contractor with Chris Pine and Ben Foster, which I feel like had a chance to be pretty solid but just.. missed the mark. It ends up feeling very pointless, and though Foster and Pine are solid, its definitely not on par with their last outing (Hell or High Water).

For TV, I watched the first two episodes of The Old Man on FX with Jeff Bridges, and I like it so far. Its hard not to enjoy Bridges on screen, though; hes got great presence.

Ms. Marvel and The Boys. As watching Kenobi but it was boring so I stopped.

Did you like Obi-Wan more than Boba Fett? I found the latter a chore until the last few episodes.

Just The Boys. I am finding it hard to get into shows as of late. The Boys is pretty unique though.

Kenobi, Stranger Things (well, waiting for the last couple eps of the season). Not really anything else atm tv-wise.

Movies I've seen recently: Watcher, Men, Northman, Unbearable Weight, Dr Strange. All heavily recommended, but probably Men the least. Or at least it's the most divisive.

The last movie I saw was The Villain (1979), with Kirk Douglas, Ann-Margaret, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
It's terrible. Really needed Joel and the bots in the corner.

Oh damn, someone uploaded it to youtube:
