If you willing to put up with burger king's bullshit for 27 years, they know you'll just "take it" when they shit all over you.

27 years of busting his ass for them and all he gets is a goodie bag. He needs to quit. He deserves better than that.

on one hand, if you work at a burger king for 27 years and don't advance one bit, then the 27 years isn't really due to loyalty, it's more due to lack of skills and options. additionally, they don't even owe you a goodie bag (note i'm NOT saying he should be grateful that he got something at all, it's just an observation).

on the other hand 27 years anywhere is definitely noteworthy and is usually rewarded with far greater results.

on the other OTHER hand, i'm reading he now has a gofundme that has broken 55k.

so... yeah. 55k (and counting) for a loyalty bonus already surpasses any parting gift for any non-C-suite exec.

There we're people when i worked at pizza hut as a teen that were drivers for 20 years. Pizza Hut paid them like thousands of dollar bonuses for being there.
