And if the enemies die before the finishing move you don't get to see it. Like, you are in some dungeon and a boss monster appears. Halfway through the fight a wall gets broken into a new area and you find Excalibur in a stone. After a bit more fighting it glows and you interact with it to kill the boss in a cut scene with KOTR.
