Pratt said something in an award acceptance speech, something about nine rules, that the church always talks about. But apparently he has his own rules and wasn't just copying what the church doctrine was.

It wasn't out of line for Page to assume he was talking about Hillsong rules, since he was open about his faith and belief in god. He probably should have talked to Pratt to confirm though.

makes it out of line. You don't go on national TV and make specific claims against someone like that when all you really have to go on is he believes in God lol. I just looked up that speech and only like 2 of those rules had anything to do with God and were pretty benign. Just "God loves you" and "learn to pray" the rest were pretty silly stuff like put your dog's medicine in a hamburger so he'll eat it and stuff like that.

The Jurassic World trilogy star told Mens Health in a new cover story that hes not nearly as religious as people think (spiritual might be a more accurate word based on his description, though he doesnt use it). Pratt also strongly criticized organized religion for its history of well-documented sins.

His definition of religion is inaccurate. Religion can mean both "the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods" as well as specific varieties ("official" religions such as Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, denominations of those religions, and even one's personal religious beliefs). To put it another way, I have no idea what the numbers actually are, but I assume that there are MANY people in the world who consider themselves members of a religion, but their actual personal beliefs differ somewhat from the formal doctrine of whatever religion or denomination it is. And furthermore the idea of Nondenominational Christianity, Islam, etc. does exist.

That being said, I agree with what he said. People have been trying to use religion to control others for literally thousands of years and it's a shame. But I don't agree with the way he said it I guess.

Lol. You guys don't know what the hell you're talking about. I don't think there is a real defining definition for it tho. It's like when people use to say "Street smarts", in that it means whatever it means to the individual. I know that's hard for people who constantly look for ways to throw everyone into a box and take away their individualism to understand. So....90% of this place.

Basically it means something very vague until you care enough to ask the individual what it means to them.

At least, that's my understanding. Which I am somewhat confident in since a lot of people I respect claim it and I been trying to understand it myself.

I have a feeling the 2 I quoted have no interest past finding a reason for it to boil down to "People who are less smart than me".

Also, good for Chris Pratt. I never jumped on the hate train cause there was pretty much zero context and it just felt like accusations with no real effort to look into it more. People just again, looking to feel better than someone else by villainizing them.

Apparently he goes to Zoe church the most often, but he says he doesnt have a main church. Zoe church is also pretty questionable though.
