for style? comfort? maybe to hide the gut?

personally, the only time I tucked in a shirt was for a job interview. probably in my youth for church too

for reference, I seen 4 older men on my 2 minute drive back from the store with their shirt tucked in

So it doesn't get ripped into the machine while I'm working. That, and I find it more comfortable.

Just wear a tearaway Chippendales suit to work. If part of it gets snagged, it will all come away clean.

I tuck in my work shirts. It's required and they look really sloppy untucked because they have extra length to make tucking for the fat guys easier.

As far as my personal clothing goes, no tucking except for the rare times that I wear slacks and a button shirt. Otherwise, nothing else that I have is meant to be tucked in.

It depends on if my skirt or shorts are high waisted or low rise, if its high waisted I tuck to show off how slim Ive gotten, if its low rise I usually wear a cropped top or tie the top off at the waist for the same reason.
