So, recently, my computer is shitting the bed when it comes to playing video games. Granted it's an old computer, but even games that played flawlessly like last year have started lagging severly.
Our gaming computer is only used for games and streaming shows (we don't download anything on it nor even use it for websites outside of netflix/amazon/disney+).

Any one know how to fix this issue? Is it because the games auto update and are no longer compatible with Windows 7? Same, but with our graphics card and i need to update drivers?

Any help would be appreciated.

you're probably gonna want a new computer if possible. windows 7 is a dated old security hole and i doubt you'll find new drivers for it anymore.

Yeah, we're thinking about it, but money's tight right now so we gotta wait until next year. I just find it weird that even games from years ago crap out while others don't, i.e., I can't play Divinity Original Sin, yet Fallout 4 still works...

That could be the problem, I'll scope it out tomorrow and see if that alleviates it. Thanks for the tip!

It hasn't been years, haha. Although if it hasn't been a year it's probably close.

I'm also not at home, otherwise I would. I've got a last minute show with my band tonight and to kill some time I figured I'd ask here.
