The world is generally shitty because of most people doing dumb, selfish, hateful and evil shit, but you still have to find and try to derive some sort of happiness from it, for your sake and the family that loved you. Just try to do your best to not be a detriment to others, and do what makes you happy and keeps you independent until it's your time. You can do almost anything and be almost anything if you're a white cis male if you play your cards right, or hell, if you even luck out.
