The first one was great and made dual analog games a legitimate thing. The second one had Sony go all out and make Ash, Misty and Pikachu main characters. Featuring Yu-Gi-Oh Spike and Dragon Ball Specter. Then the third installment went even further beyond and made a cosplayer's fantasy with various unique outfit changes(Ninja forever!) Then Pumped n Primed came out and was a bizarre party game that actually worked with Ape Escape mechanics. Then Sony decided their own popular legacy IPs weren't good enough and let the series die for more CoD exclusivity........... Great games. Bollocks that the only available versions on PSN are with shit European voices that all suck apart from Spectre in the first Ape Escape. Wow, so much hate for the UK dub. I liked it, especially since (in the sequels, at least) it kept the Japanese names for everyone. Anyway, fantastic series, needs to make a comeback. Alternatively, I've always felt Nintendo could do a great knockoff if they replaced all the monkeys with Pokemon. --- The shattered stage is set and there's a role you must fulfil ...
