I took too many at once and had a terrifying experience. I had at least a dozen different elaborate hallucinations that were all terrifying and vivid. I was thrashing around on my bathroom floor for what felt like hours but was hallucinating that I was trapped in hell, was being reincarnated into various different things for what felt like thousands of times. Had some gnarly bruises all over me from the tile floor.

What kind of edibles? Cause pot edibles don't make you see shit. They're not psychotropic.

Weed can definitely have psychedelic effects. It has for me, and I've done lots of psychedelics to compare it to.

And yeah, it can be difficult. I've had some of my most challenging trips with weed. Nobody ever believes me when I tell them that. I've revisited that headspace more than once now, and it's gotten easier each time. I come to understand it a little better. But I can see how it might feel like it's ruined for right now.

Yeah, you tend to get very paranoid thoughts and then believe them if you've taken a really high dose. Also sometimes it takes like 3 hours to feel it.

I felt extremely violated from the whole ordeal. I was so happy when I woke up a few hours later still alive. For a while there, my mind.exe had completely crashed.

Right. I believe at one point I was just thrashing around in my bathroom floor unable to get to my feet, hallucinating a ton of different things. But I was not in the driver seat anymore.

Marijuana can't cause hallucinations like that on its own. The most you'll get is similar to an extremely mild psilocybin trip, but you would have to take a few thousand milligrams.

You won't see things that aren't there, but the walls might breathe a little bit. It's not like doing LSD.

I would wonder if you don't have other issues. Paranoid schizophrenia would fit the bill and can definitely be exacerbated by marijuana.

I don't know if you can extract anything to learn from the experience, but that's always what I try to do. Your mind is trying to communicate something. The first time I had what I'd call an actual trip with weed, it was like a medium-strength DMT experience, with an emphasis on some very dark shit. That was years ago and I'm still unpacking it to this day, so it might take a while for you to work through what happened. But I do think it's generally good to try to work through it.

It also helps, immediately after something like this, to just stay active. I'll push myself to bike around or go on very long walks for hours, even if I'm not in the mood. But since you said it happened months ago, you might already be over any initial hump that it takes to readjust.

First time I used edibles I took like twice as much as I should have lol. No panic or paranoia but I spent like the next five hours lying on my bed feeling like I was going through a time warp . Everything was alternating between taking way too long and way too short. Its hard to describe

They just make me lazy.

I've had a few bad trips on other natural things. More bad than good actually - probably because it was always late and alcohol was involved

They seem to have the opposite effect on me, I normally clean my whole house when I'm on them lol.

Honestly, it's the only time I clean >_>
