That's a surprisingly decent deal for Evander Kane's level of production. Really dislike him as a person though. If this includes any form of trade protection I won't like it.

Subban is out there if you're looking for a vet hand to help grow a young D crew. Maybe could get him cheap? But I feel if he's going super cheap it's gonna be to a cup contender for sure

Legit stunned the CBJ signed like the top free agent. Didn't really expect them to pick up anybody or note. Will make next season much more exciting.

It's believed Gaudreau went to Columbus cause they also were willing to sign Gudbranson to his contract demands.
Kind of believable cause you know he'd have gotten $10 million somewhere else.
Guess New Jersey didn't want to commit to paying Gudbranson $4 Million AAV.

I have created this narrative in my head that Gaudreau went to Columbus because his wife got an excellent job opportunity there and he was told to "find work in Columbus" to help support her career aspirations.
