I can deal with ads. But I legit was watching a show where there was literally less than a minute of show in between 2 minute commercial breaks

Meh I have no problem with it but that's just me personally not being a binge streamer anymore.

It's the fact that the same god awful 2 commercials repeat constantly that pisses me off.

Ehh, I grew up with commercials and still watch regular TV so ads dont bother me. Gives me time to pee or grab something to eat/drink.

Okay so my previous post aside, this is actual bullshit though because the pay tiers are rigged in a way people will actually be annoyed to the point of paying as much as $10 extra for no ads.

Like the Hulu/Disney/ESPN package no ads is $13 pretax, but the one without ads is upwards of $22 post-tax. I mean come on.

Is it werid that I like the ads. Hits me with the nostalgia goggles, plus it gives you time to pee, or make a snack, pack a bowl etc. I get a little dopamine hit everytime I beat the ad timer lol.

First world problem.

The worst is when they have an ad break before the credits so you have to manually start the next episode to avoid it

I remember when Hulu used to be free, there was just a 24 hour delay between episodes. Then it became one week. Then it became 5 weeks for everything popular and then it was paid only.

This happened over the course of like 6 months it felt like. I mean there was no ad free plan at all but the ads were only 15-30 seconds each. And it was only one ad ever break. Then they made the ad break a full minute long minimum, broken up into several 15 or 30 second ads. Now your telling me its 2 minutes. I wouldnt know what happened between them because thats what made me pay for it.

Thats how Youtube pressured me into downloading mp3s again

This is why i like the occasional 1 month or 2 months free trial i get thru gamepass ultimate. It's the ad free version and it's great.

Brah. You made it sound like the ad just broke up the action lol. The ads are generally queued to be a natural break point, the same as if it aired on live TV. MHA has a break in the last minute for the end credits and the "next time" segment. That doesn't seem odd at all.

They dont have the same shows though. I dont have cable so I use Hulu to watch some FX shows like What we do in the Shadows.

Pause a show on Hulu and guess what? Ads. On. The. Pause. Screen.

Why are you paying money to be sold to someone else?

If anything, their ads have been glitchy for me. Last night, the ad screen popped up but instead of the ad playing, the audio of the show I was watching (What We Do in the Shadows), played over a black background. After about 15-30 seconds of this, the visual finally just kicked in and the ad logo at the top right disappeared.
