What's happening is its recording stuff you like from live TV, when you think you are selecting the streaming option, a lot of times it's that prerecorded version, which has ads, because it was recording it live. Try it, give it time for your DVR queue to clear and see if it fixes this issue. --- Eradicate but vindicate as "progress" creeps along. Unless you have manually gone in and turned it off, it's likely on. It's offered through the live service as part of the app, I think it saves stuff with cloud storage. It started randomly recording stuff that I was initially streaming episodes of. Just double check that, make sure DVR recording is off in your Hulu app settings or account settings.
