They've steadily increased the eligible age here (NZ) by like 10 years during my lifetime already lul. We have this scheme called KiwiSaver which is basically the OP (contribute some of your wages to an account you can't access till you are 65) but a LOT of dumb people refuse to contribute even 2% of their wages because "muh money". Rather have less expendable money and multiply it for later on.
