Also, did you stopped watching the MCU because you think the quality started to suck or because you grew out of it?

Im still a fan. Its just hard to get hyped for any of it anymore.

At least, not until they introduce heavies like Doom and Galactus.

I'll never understand peoples' obsession with Doom. He's the biggest putz in the multiverse. A bid ol man baby in a stupid mask.

What? Iron Man used to suck and no one cared about him. Doom always sucked and people love him. What's your point?

Endgame. I've seen one or two since then, but I just don't care about it anymore. I also have a personal bad association with Eternals lol

I don't think there's anything that could really bring me back. I just don't have the energy to get invested any more. Also, my personal standard of living has had a tremendous drop off in the last year. I went from (ostensibly) lower-middle class to lower class. Money is tight. I don't have a car. I do not give a shit about paying $15 to go see a 3/5 movie with people I can't stand.

I would definitely still consider myself a fan, so not the topic for me, I guess but Im definitely overall less excited about most entries (I was hyped for No Way Home, and really enjoyed it) and while Eternals was the only one Ive disliked, No Way Home was the only one I liked a lot, the rest have just been passable. At least talking movies. Ive liked some of the D+ more than others but usually they would feel like a build up to something cool and then fizzle like WandaVision seemed like it would being in the Fox X-men for a minute, Loki may pay off eventually but it seems to the multiverse stuff there was entirely unrelated to NWH and Strange 2. plus I thought it was going to be a fun procedural buddy cop show with Loki and Wilsons character, but that only lasted like one episode.

Endgame was my stopping point. I'll probably make an exception for Thor and Guardians of the Galaxy movies, although probably won't see them in theaters.

The last movie I saw was Endgame. It was a nice stopping point narratively. I was already sick of the series but felt too invested to quit watching them.

The slew of shows they have been pushing out has taken a lot of the wind out of the sails for me. I did the math at one point and theyve pushed out more runtime of content in the past two years than in almost the entire first two phases combined. It gets fatiguing after a while, you know?

I didn't like the direction they took Spider-Man in.

I get why they did it. Objectively speaking, it's the right business move. But I still don't care for what they did with him. I'm pretty shallow in that I only care about what happens to my favorite characters in a franchise. Star Wars died with the Skywalkers. In the absence of Spider-Man, I cared about characters like Iron Man and Captain America. With Spidey present, all other characters disappear. And, anyway, those characters disappeared regardless. So there's nothing to latch onto.

What would it take to get me back? Tom Holland continuing to play the character of Spider-Man as an adult. I'm sick of him being in high school -- even if this is the first time he's been portrayed by an actual teenager. Also, Zendaya's character changing her name to Mary Jane Watson. Take some artistic liberties and make that her stage name when she becomes a model or a musician. (Like I said, liberties.)

Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness was my official exit. That said, between Endgame and that, most of the movies and series I have only mildly paid attention to. Heavy hitters like Spider-Man and some of the future heavy hitter movies have my attention. But it's pretty clear they're running into that weird era where the main story and plot was delivered with the most success. But now, they're gonna chug along until they find the spark that starts a fire. Let's just hope the fire they spark sets up a good show. Because so far, it is...meh. We could just be looking at another tragedy fire in the making though.

And it's not just Spidey being a kid or a comedy character. It's also him being Iron Man's Robin.

Like I said, I get why they're doing it. (To fuck Sony.) But that doesn't mean I have to like it.

I still watch but I havent been as invested since Endgame.

It seems like most shows/movies now are just waiting until the post credits scene to see what happens next instead of the stories theyre telling.

I am looking forward to GOTG 3 though

I watched Love and Thunder yesterday and I think I'm really losing interest. It didn't start with that one, probably around Falcon and the Winter Soldier. But I'm pretty much checked out.

I read a lot of the comics as a kid, so its been cool to see all this develop. Ive pretty much stopped watching the MCU after endgame though.

I stopped caring after Dr strange 2. I still havent seen Thor 4. After No Way Home the bar was way too high. Black Panther 2 might excite me back into it

Isnt a part of that they did the Peter Parker origin twice already. So they stole Miles Morales origin for a fresh origin and story for the Holland Spidey.

I think it was sometime during NWH.

I just felt like, the movie's okay, but I'm not really feeling it, and that the "MCU" brand of humor clashed with preexisting Marvel characters from other studios.

plus, I felt like the typical MCU format (and the brand of humor) was something I no longer enjoyed.

I'm not sure if there's anything that will make me a fan again, but I'm kinda looking forward to Black Panther 2, just because I like Ryan Coogler's work.

if that also ends up disappointing me, then I might just take a break.

Pretty much after Endgame. I've still watched a couple of the later movies, and enjoyed them, its just not a thing I want to be involved in every part of anymore.

I'm sure I'll watch all those Disney+ shows... eventually.
