I dont really have an outlet to put this out there anywhere else, so yeah, here will do.

I quit smoking many years ago, but picked up an annoying vaping habit in 2020 when I started delivering for DoorDash/UE on the side. So almost going on a week here, but its by far the longest Ive gone without nicotine for quite some time.

So far so good, but Ive definitely been eating more and chewing up straws like crazy. And as much as I love working from home, getting through some stretches of the day without a puff is definitely a challenge.

Shitposting here helps, I guess.

I've been struggling with vaping as well. I can't afford insurance or any type of therapy, so the best I can do is brief moments of respite thanks to nicotine.

It's tough but it's not impossible to get over it. I go through periods where I won't vape for weeks (due to not affording it lol) and the first 2-3 days are awful.

you got this man. i'm on day 7 of quitting smoking weed (flower and thc oil vapes). i developed some stomach problems over the past year and i'm hoping this might be the last thing i needed to try before it improves. so far my stomach feels better, but still an issue. but a daily habit apparently can take 2 months for it to clear your system, so i might not know for a while.

Yeah, same here for those first couple days. its not completely horrendous per se, but I definitely notice some headaches and general irritability.

Congrats on the week! Im also working on quitting flower.. but leaving the door open for gummies. The flower part is much easier than the nic/vaping though since I really only was doing that at certain times, while vaping was a constant while working through the day or when driving.

Congrats as well here for the nearly 2 weeks! Im doing cold turkey, pretty much. I might pick up some gum just to have on hand as an option, not sure how useful or effective it can be, but willing to try anything.

Breaking out of routine habits is the hardest part. The most I ever partook was when driving around for deliveries, but Ive cut that back to essentially nothing lately. Cant vape if I dont have any in the house and arent really driving out, right?

Not having it at home while working through the day is a bit of a challenge, but considering Im on Teams/Zoom calls 75% of the time, thats really only 2 hrs a day or so where I have to occupy myself somehow. The biggest challenge will be next time I have to travel for work. Half a day in the car without that vice will be the true challenge. Ill have another 2-3 weeks under my belt by that time though whichll hopefully help. And maybe having some patches or gum then will get me over the hump.

One week down. Bad headache day yesterday, but otherwise chugging along.

I'd definitely recommend a nicotine patch. You won't be horribly agitated all day
