I went to a local Mexican restaurant that has $1 tacos for 'Taco Tuesday.' It's a Chipotle style line where you choose hard or soft taco, chicken or beef, and you can add up to three "toppings" from the following: lettuce, salsa, corn, rice and beans, sour cream, or spicy sour cream. I think there were a few others but they are of no use to this story.

So I walk up to the start of the line and she asks me what I want. I say: "Hi. I'll have six tacos. Three hard and three soft. Three with chicken, and three with beef, but not so that all the chicken or beef are on the same style taco. I'll have any three toppings between lettuce, salsa, rice and beans, sour cream and spicy sour cream such that salsa and any style of sour cream is on all of them and that no two tacos have the exact same contents."

She looks at my face for a few seconds with a blank stare before saying, "Fuck this" and just walks to the back where the customer can't see, and then like 15 seconds later walks down the hallway and out the door and gets into her car. Then some guy comes out from the back, who I assume is the manager, with a concerned look on his face, apologizes and takes my order. Other employees were really confused.

Tacos were okay.

I didn't do this myself, but I witnessed it happen to a colleague of mine...
I work in a toy shop, so you can imagine the customers: picky mums with screaming little brats at their side. One of these mums decided she wanted a discount on something because the box was slightly mishapen (probably her brat kid whacked it around). It's against our policy to reduce anything if it is in an adequate condition and the product is fine, and I watched my colleague calmly explain this. The woman literally screamed at her without warning, hurling verbal abuse and accusing her of trying to steal her money.
I should mention at this point that my colleague is a little old lady in her 60s.
It really shook her up and she left the tillpoint crying, the woman still calling abuse after her. It's moments like that which make me hate working in retail!
TL;DR Customer made an old woman cry because she couldn't get her way.

I prefer the Wednesday scene for Taco Tuesday Sundays. There's far less of a crowd. Most don't know about Wednesday's Taco Tuesday Sundays.

You don't have to consider the workers, since you're paying or whatever that dumb perspective is. But, I don't get why you wouldn't consider the workers when they're also human. You gotta realize you're being extremely annoying when you make someone quit instead of put up with you lol. Again, feel free to make those orders tho, that's your right. Just realize the logic that you can also be very annoying to the person on the other side who is working for peanuts.

My niece and sister are actually paying for the food they're gonna eat themselves and still make me decide everything lol. A lot of people hate making those decisions for people they know, nevermind a stranger. Shit, I only changed my perspective on picking for others because no one else was stepping up and I got tired of the back and fourth. I also use to just be someone who sat there tossing the responsibility off me as much as I could
