That doesn't sound like keeping the status quo to me.

Didn't they just do that with a gay marriage bill? And most of the Republicans went along with it because of course. And the ones that didn't were like "this is an obvious trap. Go fuck yourselves".

They essentially did that already during Trump's term with their legislative graveyard.
