Sena's fun, Lanz has his moments, Taion totally feels like he has more going on kept secret (well, surely everyone does by this point)

maybe Im just getting old. But while Im still loving the game and willing to go along for the ride, I cant help but think during the flashback and the end of ch2so this random nopon just happens to have this godsword and then also randomly decides to give it to noah just because his regular weapon happened to break?

Im willing to bet theres more backstory there that has to been revealed yet but if there isnt its really going to bother me by the end of the game lol

I'm not much further than that but I just assume there absolutely must be more to the story there

Anyone manage to complete Tau-Tirkin Alliance? The 'right' way to do the quest seems extremely tedious, so I'm tempted to go the quick and easy way (both have the same rewards).

That's the only one so far I'm putting off.

How do you get war medic? I already have Guardian Commander and Thaumaterge which are after it on the list so I feel like I missed someone

War Medic is in MSQ progression.

Yeah the game expects you to continue the storyline a little bit instead of immediately backtracking, even though it also immediately gives you a sidequest to backtrack to Colony 9.

I finally exited the Fornis region. I was beginning to think it was just going to go on forever (and I still haven't fully mapped the northwest or southeast corners!)

I'd been using them on some collectopaedia cards, but that feels kinda bad. Don't know what to do with these stupid things!

I'm also kind of annoyed that it technically keeps a record of which lower level gems you have (even though they're useless), but you can't buy any that are weaker than your best gem of that type. If I would have known that I would have made sure to get them all in order, but too late now.

there is a nopon coin merchent in Fornis after going through some cave puzzle in the east end (snugging the west walls)

for uh accessories eh but they are kinda costly on nopon coins

I spent 3 hours mapping out the desert today and still didn't finish. I found out the desert turns into the place the story wants you to go if you walk far enough though when I got a cutscene by accident so that was fun

Holy shit this desert is huge.

I only use camp exp on rare occasions (if I cant beat a unique monster), but leveling the Heroes to max should be OK, right? Cause I leveled them all up.

You see how huge the Fornis region is, and then you look at the Affinity Chart and see how much more room there is for lots more colonies, and you almost want to go lie down for a bit.

Yeah I had found them before but none of the silver coin accessories seemed particularly useful... went back and bought one anyway though so I'd at least prevent myself from overcapping

Does anyone know how many chapters there are total? I'm not sure I want to know to be honest. If I had to guess I'd say like 6 or 7 max unless they really start speeding things up

I was about to post earlier about how much I loved the day time desert music. It's so fucking good lol

At this point, I recommend using Silver Coins to level up classes. Grinding them all up to 20 would take forever.

You start unlocking them on chapter 5, though I'm not sure if you get all of them in that chapter.

From what I can tell, no.
Some of the main character side stories only unlock later on. Not sure about if any others are locked.
I know there are some Heroes you can only get later in Chapter 6.

Also her hero quest is downright stupid.

Have a few heroes unlocked and I'm baffled at both:

A. How high quality the side content in this game is
B. How hero quests are basically EXACTLY how I wished unlocking blades worked in XC2

Also this second area is goddamn enormous. How many Bionis body parts would you have to stitch together just to match this zone?

also oh wow do I feel like I'm abusing these Chain Attack finisher exp bonuses, went up a couple maybe 3 levels off that quest

Yeah I had enough bonus exp built up that I could've leveled enough to do that one in Ch3 too, but I decided to wait. It just seemed too ridiculous, lol.

side content was the best part of both XB2 and XBX so I'm not surprised at all!

I didn't play XBX but I suppose I could believe it for XC2 if the combination of gacha garbage and affinity chart nonsense didn't mean I only saw a few blade quests before beating the game.

I'll hit 'em... and then I'm gonna hit 'em again.

The affinity stuff was ridiculous but also strangely addicting. The Blade quests being the best part of the game made the gacha stuff even worse yes.

As more of the game is explained I'm really wondering where nopons come from. Do they not mate and give birth? Are they clones? Do they spontaneously generate as natural phenomena? The affinity charts have them listed with much older ages so they're definitely not the same as the humans, but they seem to treat the human system as the natural way of the world.

Nopons are supposed to be ... opportunistic. If the past games hold true their role is really to just make money. But they definitely give birth and mate and do all that other human shit
