what's the typical shelf life of a streamer (twitch or otherwise)? I remember people at my work talking about her since like 2016/2017. I'm surprised she's still got quite the following... I imagine twitch streamers are like television series. They got a certain number of seasons in them, and then get cancelled because people get bored and move onto the next good show. Plus, most series start to suffer from being stale after a few seasons. I mean, I would guess streamers would just run out of ideas. People maybe get bored about what they liked about them in the first place. Their humor gets stale. Their gimmick feels old. The hot ones get replaced by other streamers who are hotter. Every time I hear about this girl, its usually followed by "her fan base is typically 13 year old thirsty boys." Fair enough. But she's been famous for at least 6 years. It sounds like a Freudian slip kind of thing. I kinda heard it but this will be blown up way out of proportion. There was no malice at all. If there was any normal sense of things it would just be, dont say that phrase again. But people will clamor for her being canceled due to a comment she said off the cuff during a Valorant match. I know she's one of them pretty young twitch ladies, and that she has a cameo in Free Guy. Everything else was Googled like five minutes ago. What I do know in general, is a lot of folks tend to subconsciously fall into the mannerisms and speaking habits they immerse themselves in, even if temporarily. If I've been watching a LOT of British TV, I find myself using common British phrases. Hell, sometimes just a particular rhythm and pacing to how prominent characters speak. If I binge watch boondocks or some such,, or am on a hip hop kick (kinda rare but it happens), I gotta be mindful and slow down a bit. Fact is I'm fishbelly af. I'm not gonna tell black folks they should be cool with her saying it, but I'm also not gonna tell a brown chick from Africa that people forget ain't white because hair and makeup she ain't black enough for a pass. --- "Now, was that civilized?
