yemmy 07/30/22 5:49:56 PM #1:	The only Souls games I played were Demons Souls on PS3 and I got like halfway through before I got frustrated. I played Nioh on PC for about 4 hours before I got really frustrated, but I've heard people say that Nioh is more jank than Bloodborne I am about halfway through Ghosts of Tsushima on hard and it is tryjng me but I'm digging it still. I know not the same, but how hard is Bloodborne? I never really put the time into making a good build with Demon soul's, and I was a lot more stupid as fast as those kinda games go. Ive beaten the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy on normal btw. I think after playing 4 hour Mario levels I'm a lot more open to playing hard games and a lot more patient. Is the PS4 version vastly worse than the PC? Depending on what you know about vampires & monster hunters in fiction, and if you go into it looking for that. I think it offers a rather unparalleled experience with an ~~eldritch~~ twist, focused on "~~Beasts~~". Who knows. Maybe this will be a great entry for you if you aren't into that stuff. I find Bloodborne to be both very correct, and also progressive in terms of this kind of media, even beyond video games. As a reader and a movie watcher, I dig Bloodborne. It's a property worth having an opinion on. Even if you don't like it, Drumiester posted... Nah it sucks just like all FromSoftware games. IMO it picked up the pieces in a lot of places where other media left off like 15 years earlier (including werewolf hunters, and taking the Cthulhu Mythos mainstream, Victorianpunk, etc) and that's the main attraction for me. It's definitely an advanced game tho. Not a lot of handholding or coddling. Can't think of a better place if you wanna "get good" and Demon's Souls didn't cut it for you though. Or you just find Souls too dense as an RPG. I think Bloodborne is a much less frustrating game and helped spark a small wave of Victorian vampire games which came after too Coming from Demon's Souls? The level-up system is simplfied The movements are smoother The equipment & defense system is simplfied They removed the shield so you don't have to worry about standing there and tanking attacks anymore The graphics and enemy designs are superior The community is one of the best out there Etc There's a dedicated jump mechanic for platforming this time! etc Not to step on any toes tho, Dragon's Dogma is getting a sequel soon, so if you haven't played the original, now is a good a time as any In Bloodborne, there is a counterattack system that allows you to recover all of your HP after being attacked, so you don't have to chug Estus and Moon Grass. What they did with the firearms is amazing too. For 15 bucks, you could basically teach yourself to crush other games like it, and have a lot of fun along the way! People get really excited by and swear by both games as GOATs Dragon's Dogma has some of the best monster climbing mechanics in the industry. Up there with Shadow of the Colossus. And there are monsters, dragons, chimera, and ogres to climb aplenty. Also, you can cosplay as Guts! Like, they literally have armor & weapons from Berserk in the game!
