This would be self-defeating rhetoric because it would imply that anyone visibly infected must be secretly homosexual (fallacy). Jokes aside, that would ironically lead to quite a few hetero people being persecuted for showing symptoms as well as flare up tensions of bigotry towards actual gay people. It also leads to local uninfected LGBTQ being scapegoated for the spread.

So there's straight people running around dealing with the symptoms of the virus while also trying to hide their infection due to homophobic social stigma thanks to media. And the media continues to nonchalantly hand bigots more ammunition towards LGBTQ in general.

Based on what I've been seeing, I doubt it.

Funny enough, gay men are typically much more aware of their health than straight men so eventually this disease will hit heterosexual people hard and fast and unfortunately children will get hit hard too.

You can actually the monkey pox in various different ways. Sex just happens to be one of the possible ways.

The for sure way you'll get monkey pox is if you touch someone's lesions or you touch an object that was contaminated with the virus...

In short: sexual preference has nothing to do with the odds of being infected. If you're simply around another person who has the virus... You best take extraordinary caution around them otherwise you might find yourself infected

Like, think of the all the pimple popping people who are way more likely to get this shit.
