My cat doesn't fuck with lunch meat either. I assume it's cause of this. Cause he'll go crazy over regular chicken.

Yeah cats know this shit. One of mine refuses to eat friskies but will happily chow down on the wet version of his favorite brand and flavor of dry food, for instance.

also i had no other "normal" meat, also this is that carving board stuff that's like less processed but it was probably weirdly seasoned

i had a cat that wouldn't eat anything other than friskies dry. i tried to get it the healthier costco cat food. it wouldn't want any of that.
it was a relatives cat that i gotten from when she was a year old.

Cats know what they like and they usually don't like deviating from that. My tuxedo cat is so picky that he won't eat any other flavor of his dry food even when it's the same brand. He won't eat duck or even salmon flavor, just chicken flavor.

True. Kinda sounds like my Primo, but was true with others.
Plus, cats are so highly tuned that you really don't want to mess with their eating habits.

I actually got my Maine Coon that way!
Though there were other factors.
Basically, his situation changed at home, for good reasons.
But he basically adopted me.
My neighbors and eye agreed upon it as it was clear that the cat had spoken.
