Not only is it easier to do big damage with them, but since reviving fallen party members no longer pulls from the Party gauge like in the previous games (with the drawback of only Healers being able to revive party members), it's also easier to keep building the gauge up. And once you're in the Chain Attack, you can have your healers heal your entire party as many times as you want while still building up the Chain Attack percentage, while also being able to do combos like Break+Topple+Daze / Launch+Smash. If you play your cards right, you can do all this multiple times each time you initiate the Chain Attack.

And then, there's when you're able to have someone shift into their Ouroboros form for even more damage, especially after the Damage multipliers have been built up.

Combined with the Ouroboros mechanic, this has made me actually seek out Tyrants around my levels and successfully take them down, whereas in past games, I'd avoid them. Admittedly, I am playing on Normal mode, but even on Normal, Tyrants normally would be hell to take down if you're within their level range.

Yep.

Actually, they're called "Unique Monsters" in Xenoblade 1/2/3.

I got them mixed with the Xenoblade X terminology, which calls them "Tyrants".
