Wanted to finish the novels before starting 3 for the first time but Ive heard upsetting things about this one. <_< But overall as long as the story is fun and Mass Effect-y I think I could stomach the occassional continuity flub or whatever Also, for the first 3 novels I'd say 1 > 3 > 2. It made so many basic errors about lore and general facts that BioWare had to apologize for it and promised to rewrite it, although they still haven't ever gotten around to doing that.
