During my travels, I've found somewhere between 1/3-2/5 of the players I've encountered on other sites are women (be it major community or minor ones). Women who try to play here are usually out of the community within a month or two because of the way half the people treat them, and the other half do absolutely nothing about it. I think this is mostly due to the fact that I looked in the mirror and hated what I was doing to my friends and decided to be pretty strict in how people interacted with one another so that took care of the outliers, and in general people here play pretty respectfully. This community is mostly about as nice as competitive mafia can get, although it has its flaws still and I wish people would approach others a bit differently. But I think it's a sampling bias when it comes to women flaming out of the community vs men. Plenty of men have flamed out too and rage quit and never returned, it is just that it stands out more when a woman does it because our community is generally speaking very man dominated in terms of numbers.
