Probably a lot of the ones from the 2007-2012 era were worse. Luckily most modern memes don't have any staying power so they're not as bad even if they're worse in a vacuum.

Nah, memes that involve flat out racism are the "worst ever." Ugandan Knuckles crosses the line, but not exceptionally so.

I mostly don't like when memes spring up out of nowhere like a fungus and then refuse to die, like "u mad" did, and "cuck" entering general vernacular for so long. At least Vin Diesel Family, Morbin' Time, Malding, and the Harlem Shake went away swiftly enough.

I mean Ugandan Knuckles had a setup, the absurdity of an environment where anyone can use any avatar, and then the non-sequitur of a large group of one Sonic character quoting a cult film. Harambe mostly took the form of Chuck Norris facts again and being namedropped anytime anything had a gorilla in it. And it's still being used probably.

harambe was funny for the first day or two when people were essentially satirizing the way people threw a big fit about a random lion that got killed a few months earlier but then idiots who couldn't understand the joke took it in a dumber direction

the Knuckles thing was a moderately amusing video that should have ended there. The actual memefictation of it immediately overstayed its welcome.

Harambe as a meme has at least some funny usage. Like when you get one of those dumb pictures of dead celebrities in heaven welcoming some new dead celebrity and Harambe is there, thats sort of funny.

What Harambe is great

Maybe it's because I'm actually a Cincinnatian but we have one of if not the best zoos in the country, and it's cheap to get in, so people from the area have a lot of pride in the place and the conservation efforts. Just like we're dumb for Fiona the hippo, we were heartbroken about Harambe because it felt like a stab in the heart of one of our most worthwhile city institutions.

Harambe reaching meme status isn't just a joke, it's a badge of unity in mourning, paying respect to conservationism in a world that's increasingly dipping into mass extinction.

Also surprised no one said "Shoop Da Whoop"/"I'M A' FIRIN' MAH LAZER!"

I came in to say this one. For a while it was every comment on every YouTube video and it meant nothing whatsoever.

It can be funny when actually used correctly but that is like maybe 5% of the time.
