Jones is just trying to bail on the sinking ship, especially now that his (likely incriminating) phone records are being made available to the Jan 6 Committee.

Trump is screwed outside of another coup attempt working, and Jones is just smart enough to know that and is trying to ride the coattails of basically the closest thing to a more competent Trump.

It happened before in Michigan when people voted in Rick Snyder. Why do people think Venture Capitalists, COOs and the 1% are "outsiders" with special knowledge to fix what others in the government can't JUST BECAUSE they've hoarded a bunch of wealth? And why do they think those people will make life easier for them either?

That's the thing about fascists, they will abandon all of their principles in a moment's notice and support the next person more closely aligned with their brand of fascism.

Jones will ditch DeSantis the moment someone more radical enters the public sphere. And Trump will ditch both Jones and DeSantis if it means running for president again.

And the fascist part of the GOP (Read: The majority of the GOP) will have a schism over which brand of fascism they want to run in 2024, and the losing side will either join, die, or radicalize even further as we have already seen leading up to 2016

Its because everyone is fully aware the system we have doesn't actually work for like 90% of people. So its easy to get behind the person that's smart enough to actually point that out, and push for actual change. The problem is we have it set up so the people pushing for change either have no intention or are incapable of actually following through with it (see: Justin Trudeau in Canada, Obama in 2008) or are exactly the kind of people the broken system benefits and are taking advantage of people not knowing better to further break the system, which also lets them cry about how its broken and they're the only ones who can fix it.

The status quo sucks - why would you trust the people that made it that way?

Being pro-specific thing about a race, like pro-black people not being gunned down by police, is not inherently a negative, though it often ends up being a negative (white replacement theory, the blowback to CRT, etc).

Being pro-*insert race*, as a blanket statement is attaching a value to said race that is presumably higher than other races.

That is racist as fuck and absolutely a negative.
