These do exist, right? I know Halo 1's rocket flood and Halo 2's jackal snipers get mentioned a lot, but i could have swore there's a rare chance you can encounter flood armed with UNSC sniper rifles in Halo 2 on Quarantine Zone and High Charity. On legendary, they can kill you in 1 shot, like their Jackal counterparts. But strangely enough, i don't think flood armed with beam rifles know how to actually fire them. Creating this topic in case this is all just a fever dream i had, because i can't find any info online about them. They'd be an unholy abomination if added en masse to a Halo 2 mod...

I think there is the occasional Flood with a Sniper Rifle. But I don't know if they would really be considered snipers. I think they just use them like they would any other weapon and are not particularly effective with it. I can't even remember any Beam Rifle wielding Flood but I have to imagine they have a rare chance of using those as well.

On lower difficulties, they aren't that effective with them, but on Legendary, i think they are reasonably accurate with them and can 1-shot you. But it depends on whether they actually decide to fire or just run towards you. The combat forms act less like snipers and more like monster energy fueled teenage quickscopers >_<

Yeah it's still a weapon capable of killing you quickly if they actually manage to hit you with it. It's just the Flood Combat Form behavior is to get in close usually. And with any weapon they use they don't fire them as frequently as Covenant would. So chances are they miss the Sniper shot and don't actually fire again before you manage to kill it. Rockets are so much more dangerous than other weapons because the Flood only needs to fire it one time for it be devastating. Same with Shotguns and Swords. And none of them need the precision of a sniper shot.

Does Legendary increase the accuracy of the flood or no? I feel like if a flood decides to shoots you with the sniper rifle, you're basically fucked, unless you're in a vehicle (Quarantine Zone) and it blocks the shot. I kinda want to learn to mod to put this to the test, because i feel like if they appeared in much greater numbers, they'd be nearly unstoppable... but it'd only work if done on the level High Charity, since a lot of Quarantine Zone can be skipped.

I'm not sure. I'm not even sure if a sniper bullet does one shot you. We know the Beam Rifle does on Legendary of course, so I would assume the Sniper does too. But getting killed by a Sniper-wielding Flood isn't something that happens often in a regular playthrough.

343 did release mod tools for most of the Halo games on MCC, so I'm sure you could mess around with those kinds of things if you learn the basics.
