Nope. I do want a cat eventually but I'm not quite ready to make that adjustment yet... financially or mentally. And my 600 square foot apartment doesn't exactly give me proper space to take care of more than one pet.

I currently have 3 dogs, a cat and a hedgehog. I had another dog, but she passed away a few months ago. I also volunteer at an animal rescue/rehab where I take care of wildlife. So I consider a lot of animals my pets lol.

I figured you had to be an animal lover if your first question was about pets, which is why I asked if back. Sounds like you have a happy family of animals! What kind of wildlife do you take care of, and what's the most fascinating to tend to?

That's my question, but to answer yours: My other major hobbies include baking, walking/hiking, Survivor, sleeping, people watching, learning/trivia (Jeopardy or Sporcle, for instance), seeking the meaning of life, and writing lists with at least one joke item snuck in. I'm not as busy as I make myself sound.

The most relaxing place I have been to is probably the beach. It also depends on the weather, but a perfect sunny day + beach = paradise. Also, the fewer people the better. I dont like crowded beaches.

I also love hiking, so Ive been on beautiful mountains and trails.

I take care of mostly nocturnal animals. Foxes, opossums, raccoons, owls, fawns and beavers to name a few. The most fascinating was a snowy owl, but that was one time thing for me. Overall I really like to tend to foxes and owls.

My aunt takes care of raccoons on her farm, too. She got a license for that after someone reported her for the first one, who was an orphaned child, and she did such a good job that she got to do more. It's a lot of work, so good job to you! The snowy owl sounds awesome.

I only have one place I ever regularly go hiking (a nearby Arboretum), and I haven't been in a while because I got bored of it. I like exploring new ones more. Like yesterday, my friend and I went to one a couple hours away. My legs are quite sore from all the rocks. But hey, that's what you get sometimes! Really looking forward to fall - that's the best time for hiking.

What are some of the prettiest places you've been?

I dont shelter these animals nor do I own a farm. I work for a couple of people that own a wildlife rehabilitation/rescue organization. That is not even my main job. This is more of a side thing I do.

I agree that Fall is the best time to hike. All the bugs are DEAD, and the weather/scenery is obviously better.

Prettiest places Ive been are Acadia National Park in Maine, White Mountains in New Hampshire, The Palisades in New Jersey (going off trail towards edge of cliff for best views). Ive been to a lot of beautiful places, but these are just to name a few.

Heres a dangerous picture I took at The Palisades earlier this year. Its a STEEP drop down, but you can see New York City in the back. Its a really beautiful spot especially at night. Going off trail to get here was a little scary, but the views!

Great stuff man! Thanks for the sample back. Definitely wanted to hear where that was going, so let me know if you get a full version recorded. And thanks for the compliment too. I wrote that back in 2011 now, and it's obviously very simplistic, but simple often works. Glad you enjoyed it.

Pretty easily Speak Now. I mean I love them all, but Speak Now represents such a clear artistic vision for Swift that for me it stands head and shoulders above the others. Being that she wrote it all herself, I think it best showcases her influences and song-writing styles the best - she expands on the country sound of her previous two albums and brings in more pop, some pop punk, and some arena rock with an impressive range of emotion. This album is sweet, funny, sarcastic, nostalgic, and bitterly angry all at once. Long, intricately woven and compelling ballads of sorrow & regret like Dear John or Innocent stand in contrast to blistering whirlwinds of vitriol like on Better Than Revenge or the restless anxiousness of love like on Mine or Sparks Fly. But they never feel at odds. It all feels like a singular experience of being a young adult flailing through life and trying to make the most of it. Always catchy, always musically sound, and every song genuine, Speak Now is a masterpiece and easily one of my favorite albums of all time.

Sorry for the wait! Sounds like you live in the Northeast - I live in Wisconsin, so those places aren't exactly accessible to me. There's plenty of great scenery here if you know where to look, but our only "Mountains" have the quotation marks - they're not true mountains. Fall with the lakes and cliffs is pretty nifty. The arboretum last year was also quite the thing to walk through when the leaves turned.

That's a really great picture! A nice view. Here, have one of my view from a lookout tower on Tuesday:

Its way too crowded and busy for my liking. It can get very loud, and its quite dirty with trash here and there. I sometimes get hit on by creeps, and strangers always try to hand you things. Thanks! Yours is beautiful too! Where is that? Untouched countryside is majestic. If we're just gonna be sharing hiking pics with each other... here's one from the Arboretum last fall:
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/4/8/9/AAR0ZFAADm1R.jpg

I don't go to Chicago for concerts often - only when there's someone not coming to Wisconsin that I wanna see. So far that was just Weird Al Yankovic one year and Phil Collins another. There's actually a decent amount of concerts I want to see in either Madison or Milwaukee. I don't shell out for the big name shows that much since they're a lot less personal than local bands and sometimes obscenely priced for my (admittedly thin) wallet. I'm friends with one local band actually and mention that here frequently (though the Rank the Tracks for that just purged here).

As for what you're asking I don't play any instruments - I own an acoustic guitar but to say I know how to do anything more than strum aimlessly would be simply untrue. In terms of the sounds they make, and I actually learned this from my friends in that rock band I mentioned in the last paragraph, that the drums and bass are used to make people feel the music. Guitars and vocals are what people hear. And that beat-setting stuff is what fascinates me the most - I like something that I can sway along to, so either drums or bass guitar. Or, if we're talking orchestra, the strings section, since that both makes sound and rhythm. A lot you can do with a violin, too, honestly.

What kind of music do you like, and what concerts have you attended?

Jalapeo or Sour Cream and Onion.

@GuessMyUserName Whats your favorite chips in general?

Hrmmmm I think my all-timer's been Ruffles All-Dressed, although I probably get Pringles Sour Cream & Onion the most.... Heck, when I was abroad in Japan I ended up stockpiling dozens of cans of SC&O Pringles because I was too lazy to separate the cardboard/metal/plastic materials to throw out until the end of my stay.

Also related about sour cream love, as a child I allllways loved sour-cream glazed timbits among the mixed assortment boxes but I never actually knew what that flavour was called until wayyy later in life I started trying different donuts, got a sour cream glazed, and realized oh shit this is the stuff I loved as a kid!... I think that's also when I started getting into the chip actually.

Q2: speaking of abroad though, travel much outside the country?

@fortybelowsummer Favorite horror game?

Keeping the RE train going in this topic, it's Resident Evil 4. I considered it my favorite game period for a while. Honorable mention to RE Village, Until Dawn, Eternal Darkness (can this get a reboot plz) and Bioshock.

Closet I can think of off the top of my head is Lisa Simpson!

My favorite RE character is Claire Redfield. Tough, brave, caring, inquisitive, and I love her look and design too. She's probably my favorite character in all of fiction in general.

What are your 5 favorite albums?

Just 5? Ugh thats hard. Im the type to put albums into tier lists and rank them that way.

I might be able to choose 5 if I put my nostalgia goggles on. Eh, Im having brain fart at the moment Its currently 4 in the morning and I feel sick. sorry

Whiteface Mountain in New York. Nice picture! Heres a little somethin from the beach today.

I really want to learn the drums sometime in the future. I play a little bit of bass, but I mostly focus on guitar. I also wouldnt mind getting piano and vocal lessons in the future too.

I like all kinds of music. Anything from rock/metal and their subgenres, pop, folk, ambient, jazz, classical. I listen to a tiny bit of country and rap, but its not something I search out.

Ive attended a bunch of concerts. I see Rammstein soon. A German industrial metal band. I also have Band Maid coming up. A Japanese hard rock band.

What was the last movie you watched?

Pringles SC&O is addicting if I ever get it. Theyre so good. I think I might prefer Lays Stax over Pringles. I think they have a better crunch and texture.

I havent traveled outside America yet. Its definitely high on my bucket list. I had the opportunity to visit Europe, but I turned it down. The timing wasnt right for me. I want to travel the world one day. (If money isnt an issue in the future)

How many hours do you spend on the internet a day?

I used to play sports a lot when I was younger.

I really need to get back into Pokmon. The last Pokmon game I played was Pikachus Adventure for the Wii. Wait, I did play Pokmon Go for a good amount of time when that came out. I always changed my starter for the games. I never really stuck with one. I thought about buying Arceus! It good?

Ever try skateboarding?

Bioshock is AMAZING. RE4 is one of my favorite games of all time. Definitely buying the remake. I remember playing it on the GameCube when I was like 13 years old. I then got the PS2 version, PS3 version, and then the HD PS4 version. I probably have beaten that game around 40 times.

Do you like the Resident Evil movies?

Ah, no worries, I have trouble picking my favorites usually too XD

I don't really like the RE movies, no. They're very unfaithful and kind of just boring and nonsensical to watch most of the time. The earlier ones fare a little better for me, like RE: Apocalypse is pretty fun just because it has Jill and takes place in Raccoon City but FUCK the changes to Nemesis and all that. You know, I just see the movies as their own thing really, barely connected to the series except by name. I guess you can say they're passable zombie apocalypse movies on their own.

I do like the animated movies however. Diminishing returns for sure, but at least they're actually canon and I like that they take the time to use characters somewhat neglected in the main series (Claire & Rebecca for two). Vendetta was utterly stupid but it was a pretty fun movie anyway.

Do you have a mantra or personal motto you follow?

I agree what you said about the movies.

I cant say I have a personal motto I follow. I am who I am. Just be kind to others, be yourself and tomorrow is another day. Patience is key! Wait, maybe that was a personal motto lol

Bacon, sunny side eggs, and French fries or a hash brown. Sausage or pancakes are plusses but not always necessary. Breakfast is my favorite meal so I pretty much love any food associated with it!

What's something you did as a kid you wished you still did?

Ive grown to the point where I look back, and I dont see anything I wish I still did. Maybe hang out with friends more often? Back in the day I was hanging out with groups of friends almost every day being adventurous young and dumb.

What's one thing that can instantly make your day better?

I had a busy weekend until I got sick. Im not sure if I have a cold or early signs of covid.

You make your own milk? Nice! I love almond, cashew and soy milk, but I prefer the unsweetened versions with no sugar. I like them all equally, but I might slightly prefer soy milk for the extra protein it has.

If you can live in any anime, what would it be?

I used to rollerblade a lot when I was younger. Ever been to the UK?
