A bunch of people have grown up over the last 10 years when the industry spiraled off unto out of control greed and they think that's just the way it is. It was given free rein to get worse and is doing so. I'm still disappointed this many people are following the industry down this path.
Sometimes you ask these mobile playing bots why they're wasting their time playing this garbage and the default defence is just "Heheh must be new to mobile games, heh he doesn't know how this works."

What is satisfying about paying to spin the wheel and the wheel eventually arbitrarily showing you mercy?
Even if you're one of those apologist types who try to tell you the game is good because F2P is technically a viable if not tedious and exhausting option, you're only taking the reins during the grinding parts, spinning the wheel to get the characters is out of your hands. F2P = gamblers in training.
