Your shift is 7 on 7 off overnight 12 hour shifts. You get 84 hours per 2 weeks which is OT.

In the evaluation, you were praised heavily. They consider you very important and love you on night shift. They also flat out ask, since you are so valuable, if you can pick up multiple day shifts on your weeks off consistently. They are very happy you took the night shift but its a double edge sword because they lose you during the day. So they want you to work even more so they can have you during the day and at night.

To be clear, this isnt a requirement. There are zero consequences if you say no. They are just trying to convince you to work even more than you already are to make their lives and the departments lives easier.

I wouldn't like that at all. All they need to do is say more shifts are on the table if I want them, but asking directly is kind of rude
