Also in the grand scheme of things, the moon isn't even actually that far. It's perfectly within the human capabilities to do it. But because there's nothing to prove, I think in general, NASA doesn't want to risk human life for something so frivolous as to send actual people to space when sending drones literally does the same work, if not better.

I dont necessarily think it was fake and I 100% believe we have the capability to go to the moon now.

That said, there is a part of me who absolutely believes that a plan couldve been put in place to fake it just to win the space race against Russia while they continued to work out the kinks of actually getting there, although I think the logistics of a cover up that large wouldve made it extremely hard to pull off.

Put my feet to the fire demanding an answer though and Im gonna say not faked.
