You can play the whole trilogy through hitman 3, which is the third options. The rest are just addons that you can pick up later if you really want, they aren't worth it imo.

So what happens if you have Hitman 2 with Hitman 1 access, but no Hitman 1 base game. Do all the levels transfer over to Hitman 3, or does it only see that you own Hitman 2 and only transfer Hitman 2 levels?

I'm trying to look out for my fellow consumers. This seems overly confusing on purpose to force people to double dip or something

Its just what happens when you only let content carry over for those who purchased it, while also having complete editions every so often for what is out up to that point.

Its kinda an interesting concept, but messy if you dont purchase as they come out. If they just threw everything in for free in the next game though, you know sales would drop as people waited for the last game or whatever.

It's how I got XCOM 2 & 3 + all DLCs & Chimera Squad for a super steal early this year (buy the XCOM 2 collection 1st then the ultimate collection).

But Steam bundles have adjusted pricing for items already owned I thought... it's impossible to double dip.

Do they? I never knew that. I thought the one time I did, it said something like "You already own 1 of these items" and didn't adjust the price
