While I was definitely horny I was not interested in actively pursuing women (which is basically required for guys). On top of that all my hobbies were either solitary or indoor/online and I work in a field with barely any women in it. I was fine living that way for a long while until my loneliness kind of peaked during the pandemic and I realized I didn't really want to go it alone anymore. Similar to the mindset of "no sex before marriage". I didn't practice full on abstinence, but I at least wanted to wait until I was with someone I felt I wanted to marry. And that was my ex fiancee. Never made it to marriage, but we were together for 10 years, lived together for 5, and had a kid together. If my goal was to just have sex at the first opportunity, I probably could have done it when I was 16. This freshman that lived a few blocks away from me, had a very obvious crush on me, to the point that her friends teased her about it in front of me. I gave her a ride to and from school every day and our parents both got home 3+ hours after we did. So...
