You know, the thing you put in your mouth after eating breakfast and dinner in the kitchen, you instead keep it a couple feet away from a droplet spewing toilet.

No one is stopping you from putting your toothbrush where you want it.

Also I keep mine in a plastic case.

I actually do keep mine in the kitchen!

I don't want people regularly spitting in my kitchen.

I don't want it to get splashed on when I pee in the kitchen sink.

So I have to carry it all the way from the kitchen to the bathroom when I want to clean the toilet? No thanks

I brush my teeth in the shower which is in the bathroom

also yeah your enamel is soft right after eating and brushing then is likely to cause damage so you should not do that

I feel cheated.

I brush my teeth before bed, not after dinner. Plaque forms when your mouth is idle, and can combine bacteria with bits of food. Best way to combat that is to clean it right before you sleep.

Morning brushing is the reverse. Best to clean out the bacteria right before you add food.

I keep my toothbrush in my room and bring it to the bathroom when I use it. College habit that I continued even after not living in dorms anymore (because I do agree that keeping it in the room with the toilet can be a bit gross).
